Wood Duck Nesting Box

I have not been able to do much in the shop due to health problems. I found a project that I had started back in June of 2015. This it what was done when I found it a few weeks ago.

Wegen gesundheitlicher Probleme konnte ich in letzter Zeit nicht viel in der Werkstatt machen. Ich habe ein Projekt gefunden, das ich im Juni 2015 begonnen hatte. Als ich es gefunden habe, sah es so aus:



I cut the rest of the pieces and checked the fit.

Ich habe den Rest der Teile gesägt und die Passform überprüft.




After gluing the birds together and shaping them as a unit we made elevation changes and finished it.

Nachdem die Vögel zusammengeleimt und sie in einem Stück geschliffen worden waren haben wir die Höhen angepasst und sie fertig gestellt

I'm sorry you can not get Blue Pine in Germany. The richness of grain and color make it ideal for intarsia. Here its found mixed in with regular pine boards and is often treated as inferior by the new intarsia person. I wish I could send you a truck load.

Es tut mir leid, dass Ihr Blue Pine in Deutschland nicht bekommt. Wegen seiner Maserung und der Farben ist es ideal für Intarsia. Hier findet man es bei den normalen Kieferbrettern und von den Intarsia-Anfängern wird es oft als minderwertig betrachtet. Ich wünschte, ich könnte Euch eine Wagenladung voll schicken.
