Danke für das Lob, und ja, selbst geklöppelt/gestickt. Vor 43 Jahren, als ich meine Frau kennengelernt habe war Kreuzstichstickerei gerade groß in Mode. Da saßen wir dann am Abend zusammen und haben eine Tischdecke bestickt. Heute unvorstellbar, damals eine schöne Gelegenheit um sich im Gespräch näher zu kommen.

Toll geworden und danke für das schöne Beispiel :(Y): ich hatte nämlich gerade für meinen Sohn was mit Fadenbildern rausgesucht und überlegt, ob ich das statt der Nägelchen nicht auch mit Holz verknüpfen kann. :)

Der Gelbbauchkolibri, mal in ganz anderer Machart. 3mm Flugzeugsperrholz, gesägt mit Pegas MGT 2/0 bestickt mit Baumwollstickgarn. Gestern fiel mir diese Idee wie Schuppen vor die Augen.

Demnächst kriegt der Vogel noch eine Blüte vor den Schnabel. Soll ja bei Kräften bleiben der Kleine mit seinen paar Gramm Lebendgewicht.

Der Name stammt schon aus dem Englischen im 14. Jahrhundert und steht für das Altenglische Wort für Vogel - nämlich Mase, (also Meise) und dem Wort tit, das nur für "klein" steht.

Manchmal heißen sie auch chickadees.
