Kreide, (französische Kreide kenne ich nicht) ist eine Form von Calciumcarbonat.
Talkum (Magnesiumsilikathydrat) hat eine völlig andere kristalline Struktur, ist schuppig und hat deshalb sehr gute Gleiteigenschaften.
Talkum ist in Puder enthalten, wird/wurde als Gleitmittel z.B. auch zwischen Autoreifendecke und Schlauch eingestreut (als Schläuche noch üblich waren).

Sind Talkum und Kreide Französisch dasselbe? Ich wusste nie :) .


Are talcum and French chalk the same thing? I never knew that :) .

Wenn Sie einen Holztisch haben, streuen Sie Französisch Kreide auf sie und das Holz wird leichter gleiten.

Französisch Kreide ist der Stoff, mit denen Sie Reifenpannen reparieren.

Doug Woodward, der Hersteller von Diamant-Sägen, gab mir diesen Tipp. Alle seine Sägen hatte Holztischen.


If you have a wooden table, sprinkle French chalk on it and the wood will slide more easily.

French chalk is the stuff you use to repair tyre punctures.

Doug Woodward, the manufacturer of Diamond saws, gave me that tip. All his saws had wooden tables.

Wenn die Auflageplatte aus Holz ist, gleitet das Werkstück nicht gut genug.
Man könnte eine solche Platte auch feinst schleifen und lackieren.

ich bin zwar nicht Felix, habe aber den Vorschlag, unter eine Platte 2 schmale Streifen Doppelklebeband anzuordnen.
Damit das gut gleitet, sollte eine solche Platte aus Kunststoff, z.B. POM oder PTFE, oder nicht ganz so gut, aus ALU sein.
Es könnte auch eine dünne Platte, die auf Holz kaschiert wird, sein.

Angelika, eigentlich garnicht.
Eine Platte so groß wie die Arbeitsplatte, plus links, rechts u. zu mir zu ca. 15 mm dazu. Dann einfach an den 3 Seiten schmale Leisten darunter geschraubt.
Die Platte lässt sich in 10 Sekunden einlegen, bzw. entfernen.
Natürlich verliert man dadurch einiges an Arbeitshöhe!
