In contrast to intarsia the pieces are cut from a single slice of wood. The pieces are stained afterwards.

Bei Kontakt mit Feuchtigkeit stellen die Fasern sich wieder auf. Ich verwende nach dem Trocknen nur noch einen Schleifschwamm und glätte die Kanten und die Oberflächen noch einmal. Das reicht und die Farbe trägt sich dabei nicht ab. Wenn man Lasur verwendet, bekommt die Oberfläche sogar noch einen schönen Glanz.

Wie fein ist der Schleifschwamm, den du dafür benutzt?
Ich möchte über die Farbe noch zum Abschluss ein Wachs auftragen...kann ich mir das schleifen nach der Farbe dann sparen und erst nach dem wachsen nochmal drüber gehen?

Hmmmm, vielleicht hängt es mit dem weichen Holz zusammen. Wenn ich Eiche, Buche und sonstige harten Konsorten bemale tritt so ein Effekt nie auf, Da bleibt dir wohl nichts anderes übrig als nochmal drüber zu gehen. Natürlich ärgerlich wenn man dem Ziel schon so nah ist.

Ich hab noch ein wenig geschliffen mit 1200er und schlussendlich habe ich das 'Restproblem' durch Ignorieren gelöst. B) :whistle: :laugh:
