In contrast to intarsia the pieces are cut from a single slice of wood. The pieces are stained afterwards.

Im Gegensatz zu Intarsia werden bei der Segmentation die einzelnen Teile aus einem Stück Holz gesägt und anschließend eingefärbt.

Wie lässt sich purple heart an der dekupiersäge sägen? Das ist ja schon ziemlich hart....
Und wie stark war das? Ich habe hier eine 6cm starke Platte Purple Heart aus der ich eine kleine Truhe baue da möchte ich Holzschaniere mit der Dekupiersäge sägen...
Und aus dem rest vielleicht noch ein Schmuckkästchen

Purple heart ist mal so mal so. 3/4 Zoll lässt sich prima sägen. Manchmal sind Bretter aber extrem hart. Woran das liegt, weiß ich nicht. Also bei sehr harten verschleißt das Blatt halt schnell.
